The research project that I will be conducting is a continuation from last semesters studio project of designing graduate housing for Georgetown Law School. I will be comparing the amount of natural light levels within a 350sqft efficiency.
As of today, after speaking with my group and Murali, I am going to start researching within autodesk and the revit program for plug-ins that will allow me to analyze any part of a revit model.
I think that is a good avenue to go down. Learning to use Revit in this way will benefit you not only for this class and your understanding of what we've been talking about, but also your future career. How are you planning on giving it a responsive environments slant? Or are you?
Like Brad was asking, about the responsive aspect, would the space be linked into some lighting system that would allow more natural light for certain times and adjust artificial light? Aside from that, the plug-in analysis software does sound very interesting in its ability to run simulations to gain a greater understanding.
